After being super-productive (two podcasts! website stuff! lots of important emails sent out!) yesterday, I am feeling a bit low and sicky today, so am taking it easy. At least until I have to go to work.
I don’t really have anything to say, other than…apparently film-makers now intentionally insert lens flares to make things look more realistic. Like a documentary. This is supposed to trick your brain into thinking what you’re seeing is real so you don’t have to do that pesky “write an emotionally believable story so your audience suspends disbelief” thing.
I had never noticed this until I read about it on cracked.com. But today I’m rewatching the new Star Trek movie (I KNOW), and wow, are there lens flares everywhere. J.J. Abrams even sort of apologized for them.
In other news: Still no Archos. It’s cold again. And no Dalek poster yet.
