Folks, it’s been a weird week. It’s been a weird month. Hell, it’s been a weird life.
I think a big problem with my “get a clue” project is that I am, at heart, an idealist. I keep expecting that once I turn another corner, everything will be great. I get excited and I make [...]

I had a dream last night (or this morning) that I was shopping for lingerie with my sister. I know, how much more boring can you get? One night it’s a demon baby, another night it’s me getting fired from an opera for looking too masculine…and then it’s me at the Bay, buying a sports [...]

I had a dream last night that I was offered a part in an opera that paid $50,000 (!). Then I got fired at the first rehearsal for looking too masculine (the part had some kind of cross-dressing angle) and I hung around, hoping my replacement would literally break her legs and they’d have to [...]

Storm rising
“It won’t be long,” Mrs. May said, looking up from the countertop.
The window in front of her looked out onto the broad bay, and over her [...]

Man, it’s been a downer of a week so far in Toronto. First there’s a massive propane explosion, the funeral for a poor little girl who was beaten to death by her guardians, and some unfortunate dude got stabbed THROUGH THE WINDOW OF HIS CAR just a few hours ago. And it’s only Tuesday!
But hey, [...]
I think I’ll just tag everything with “X Files” from now on

Well, my living-in-the-X-Files-save-me,-David-Duchovny dream has had the most pageviews of anything so far…I think I’ll just tag everything “X Files” from now on, it seems to be a popular tag.
Not that I’ve seen the movie or anything. Or plan to. I prefer my rosy memories of the early-mid nineties intact, thank you very much.
Sunday morning: more blogging from the EEE

It’s Sunday morning and I haven’t even made it to the couch (still in bed). I went to a party last night and…well, you know. I drank about seven beers over five hours, which is a pretty pleasant pace – you feel lit up but not falling over – and talked to some cool people [...]
