I am Kristin Mueller-Heaslip, and in my real life I am a relatively mild-mannered classical singer and singing teacher. You can visit my business website here. But I have other lives. I write things and I think about things, and since it’s easier to show yourself to random strangers on the Internet than to people you meet face to face, well, here I am.
Things I like:
- lolcats
- complete fantasy universes
- Poulenc
Things I don’t like:
- snobs at the dog park
- drivers who park in bike lanes
- squirrels.
I’m only joking about the squirrels…well, not really, squirrels are creepy. Rats with tails.
HA!!! I thought I was the only person afraid of squirrels. When I was a teen, I read about a squirrel that jumped off a tree and gnawed a girl’s face to the bone. When I went to college, I would literally run away from the squirrels I saw on campus!
Your site is nice. I enjoyed your prose poem and other poetry.
A good squirrel visited everyday for two years.
I fed Bobby peanuts hand to mouth.
When he was no more, his son came around.
His son was a bad squirrel.
We never got along.
There is a lesson to be learned.
Not all things are created equal.
That’s fate.
Evaluate.
i have to comment again because i did it wrong the first time and left a strange logo instead of my site. am i right?
[...] About [...]
It is a priviledge to meet you, Kristin. I am not a professional singer like you, but I love music. And I could not imagine a world without it. I also enjoy writing from time to time….to express my heart.
Ah yes I remember those days of practice, sight singing and teaching kids who would rather be somewhere else. Being much older than you, that was almost in a past life for me. I still enjoy music immensely I just don’t perform much anymore. I am a librarian now. Go figure. I enjoy your blog and look forward to more reading in the future. I also like dogs and cats, have 2 dogs and 8 cats. We have lots of squirrels on our property (we’re in east TN) but they don’t come near us, mainly because we have 8 cats.
Love the blog.
